I just don’t understand this. This is occurring to you in 2020?? This compulsory intergenerational transfusion was initiated 28-48 years ago depending on how you want to count.
You are getting to this now. Here’s what happened: *3* generations below the Boomers are checked out.
We‘re now in our 20th year of US presidents born in the summer of 1946 at the very *beginning* of the baby boom with 8 more years of a boomer president born later with 4 more years likely. The Fortune 500 average CEO age has risen something like 1 year per year for over a decade.
Almost every research university shows the same pattern:
A) Sky high tuition increases
B) Huge increases in administrators
C) Decrease in permanent faculty
D) Foreign labor hired as ‘students’
E) Near certainty it’s president was born before 1964.
It’s the best joke. At scale.
Two generations ate what was left of the American dream by not letting the two that follow take up residency within our instutions to work on the problem of restarting growth in a non-gimmick based sustainable economy.
And, by now, everyone is bored of this mind numbing story.
